Created for the International Festival of Illustrated Books “Como Pedro por mi casa” in Barcelona (Exhibited at La Central, 2018), this project explored the concept of making something out of “nothing.” The brief: design a book that is intentionally useless.
The result is an experimental, interactive book that plays with geometric forms and unconventional materials. With no predetermined structure or outcome, the creative process itself became central to the work. The pages are designed to be manipulated—flipped, folded, and reassembled—allowing the user to generate new visual compositions through interaction.
Two editions were produced: one permanently bolted shut, emphasizing inaccessibility and absurdity; the other open and interactive, inviting playful engagement. This project reflects an intuitive, process-driven approach to design, highlighting curiosity, material exploration, and form experimentation.
