Do you know your surroundings and the possibilities it has to offer?
An experience of foraging the landscape in Toulouse, France, together searching and learning about local and edible plants and crafting a dinner to celebrate the winter season with wild ingredients gathered from nature. In collaboration with @chefantonpetrov, who guided the group through his surrounding landscape and provided information about local edible plants and cooked this wonderful dinner.
The dinner setting and experience was crafted with local resources, foraged plants and artefacts inviting nature to the table. The earthy smell of moss and dirt added a layer to the flavors of wild spinach and nettles. The artefacts were used to create a direct touch with the topic, lifting a heavy moist stone from your table setting to use the napkin starts the eating experience. The food placed in the moss - a direct association for most to nature, forests and the environment - becoming as an additional experience of directly picking your food from nature where it comes from.
