Created in response to the brief “Create a comic or short story using the line: ‘And when we woke up, the dinosaurs were still there’,” this project explores the interconnectedness of past and present through the lens of the water cycle.
The story begins with the evocative idea that the water we drink today is the same water dinosaurs once drank. Building on this, the narrative follows water as it travels through time—absorbing the impact of human waste and pollution along the way. What we flush or discard doesn't disappear; it re-enters nature’s cycle, affecting ecosystems, families, and future generations.
Told through a combination of illustration and short-form storytelling, the piece translates a scientific concept into a poetic and accessible visual narrative. The project showcases skills in concept interpretation, environmental communication, and sequential design.
